idiot day in my town

today is apparently idiot day.  the transformer for greystone power went out, putting us out of power.  simultaneously, a contractor hit a water main (again) and left the area without water.  can we say idiots!

Steff, im sorry you live in a town full of complete morons...
But, hubby couldnt help but laugh at your misfortunes. i did, how ever, give him a nice smack and told him it wasnt funny lol.  :D

lol, hubby asked me what the h*ll i did to make the power AND water go out in a matter of less than 5 minutes.  i told him i didn't do anything!  it's amazing how bad luck follows me around so much!

ha ha he paid the bills the past two months (and ironically he paid two months of bills in one month, so we're good through june ha ha)  i told him i had a b*tch fit (sorry) and tore all the pipes out ;)

does anyone know where i could find out if there is a law about what time you can start construction work in my area?  the phone company has been at my house in my front yard with HUGE telephone pole trucks blocking my whole front yard (in the grass!) at 6am wed, thur, and fri or last week and monday and today this week with intercoms  ???  it's REALLY annoying and it's making life miserable b/c the whole house is up at 6am, but i can't potty the dogs b/c they're right on my fence line and the dogs can reach them if they stand on it.

I would just call the cops and ask them if there is a noise ordinance or if there is a law in place about construction work before a certain time.  Smitty just said that if their isnt a law against it then just let the boys out... if they jump up on the fence at them it should make them work faster lmao.

would i have to call the sheriff's office, since i'm in the county and not in the city limits?  (that's why i don't think there is a law against noise too early / late probably)i've seriously thought about letting the dogs at it!  esp. this morning when they had the intercom out when i was "trying" to sleep.  yeah.  i was up too early ha ha.  the problem is they're very loud, strange, and it's guys.  axle and diesel will not tolerate them near the fence.  diesel is now tall enough that he can jump the fence with no problem and he will go after guys in our yard if they're not with me.  even if i introduce them it doesn't help b/c they're new people most every day.  yesterday the head guy was super nice and came and introduced himself, but today he isn't here  :-\
