Magic says *Merry Christmas*
« on: December 24, 2007, 11:46:03 pm »
Magic and his human counterparts had a wonderful day today at the hospital..prov iding  smiles..and tears of joy to some..

This is him before we went in...Next year I need to make cloth bows..by the end of the day his big pretty bow had fallen apart with all the petting and him shaking off..but we had a great day for young and older kids..

Awww, Magic looks adorable in his bow.  ;D  Both of my parents were just released from the hospital this afternoon and between being ill & in the hospital on Christmas they both sounded pretty low, but at least it was short term for both of them, unlike those that are in for long periods of time.  Tricia, I think that it's wonderful that you spent your Christmas bringing smiles to others.  :-*

Magic's 1st hospital visit was a Christmas week 5 years ago..and since then..we have been visiting every other week and Holidays...No one wants to be in the hospital especially on Christmas....a nd especially kids...

But kids of all ages including Drs.  and Nurses many of who are parents...

It is very easy for us to do the holiday in question the day before and spend our time on the holiday making even little differences in people's lives...

We get so much more than we give that I sometimes feel very selfish.

It is truly,,pay for the soul...and something that we treasure...mor e than gold and silver and anything else you can name....
We are blessed... And please pass on to your parents our happy thoughts for them...

I still think that it's very special of you!  Thank you, I will tell my parents and I'm sure that they'll really appreciate your kind thoughts.  A few years ago our entire family visited my grandmother in the care facility the last Christmas before we lost her to Alzheimer's.  It was a very special experience for all of us and our children are still talking about it.  So this year I really wanted to buy some simple gifts and drop them off at our nearest convalescent home to distribute to the seniors that don't have any family to bring holiday gifts to them.  Unfortunately, our kids came down with colds last week (and now my hubby & I have it), so I didn't get out to do any of that and I feel badly about it.  That is the difference Tricia.  Many of us have the good intentions, but you are really doing it and that's what I think is so wonderful.  God bless!
