We've lost another. Tim Russert

I am shocked and saddened to have just heard that Tim Russert has passed. No matter what your views, Political or otherwise, this is a great loss. My Prayers and thoughts go out to his Family and Friends.

It is terribly sad, 58 is just much, much too young.  I watched Larry King Live tonight and was very touched.  Tim Russert had written 2 books about fatherhood and in one he is quoted as saying to his son "You'll always be loved, but you are never entitled".  By all accounts he loved his son very dearly & was a wonderful father, but he wanted his son to grow up with the right work ethic.  There are a few quotes that I've heard over the years that have really stuck with me and this is going to be one of them.  I think that I'll be buying the book now, too.  My thoughts & prayers are with his wife, son, father & his siblings.

My heart sank when they interrupted the usual programming to tell us that he had passed.  I really enjoyed listening to him speak his views or explain what was going on with something.  They talked about his book about his father today and someone said that he hugged his father for 21 chapters!  He will be greatly missed.  RIP Mr. Russert

I agree with all of the above..and in listening to all the tributes I heard something that really got me to thinking..
In the 2000 election he had been talking with one of his collegues and said in his usual excited way he would like to see an election in his time that the popular vote was one side and the electoral vote the other and it did happen in that election..he was in his element..

This election cycle he said something else..the electoral vot being 269/269,,now if that happens and it is a tie what really happens..

If I remember my civics correctly doesn't the HOUSE vote on who becomes President?

One thing for sure Tim always did make you think..
