Dogs "grazing" on Goldenrod leaves

The Pups and I just returned from a hike in the fields and they are once again going nuts over young low growing Goldenrod leaves. Have any of your dogs done this? If so ~ what are your thoughts as to 'why'?

I know Goldenrod has Medicinal properties often used for UTIs and kidney flushing and so on. But both my Guys are healthy in every way and show no other symptoms. They had their last blood panel in May and everything was A-OK.

Any thoughts? They seem to search them out as though they were yummy treats.  ???  ???  :-\

That could be Jenn. Never thought of that. Although some of the horse supplements I use contain anise to make them more palatable & calm the stomachs of elders.
