Urban Dog Mushing

What do you all think of this? http://www.dogpoweredscooter.com/pictures/

When I first got the e-mail I was a little wary, especially since the e-mail stated "great for kids and ladies because it can be used with smaller dogs". I'm still not sure about that statement, but I like this product because the dog runs along side of the scooter or bicycle and is not "pulling" the weight from the front.

Let's hear your honest opinions. Am I way off on this? I think it looks like fun for the dog and the person.

Looks like fun but I guess it would depend on the personality of the dog.  With Cowboy, I'd have to wear sunscreen because we won't move.....at all.

With our pup, I'd have to be the one in the harness and him riding.

Ouch! Just looked at the price: $500 (includes shipping). It doesn't look so fun anymore!

I saw that on TV on an Animal Planet show. They showed wierd pet inventions. This guy was on there. He has two big dogs. I thought it's a good idea. The dogs get exercise and they seemed to enjoy it. My husband said he could make me one cheaper. Now all I need is another dog. LOL!!

Tell him to make me one for cheaper, too! You get them equipped for only one dog. The optional 2-dog harness is extra.

I saw that on the best inventions on animal planet. I think it is cool but with Bear and his sniffer....I'd go flying when he got on a hot trail.  ;)

I think it is really neat.
 :o Especially for a high energy dog....hmmmmm. .... like a Vizsla!!!! ;)
I think I would  want my dog trained really well in obedience.
Farley would probably put me in the hospital after off roading it after a squirrl or bird.

Puck would be like "way too much energy for me to expend...dude. ..sorry" ::)

That is a neat idea, but I'd want fatter tires for off road. Asphalt destroys the dogs pads in very little time.
