Katrina "Oily Dog" Found! Safe!

Remember the infamous picture of the oil-covered dog sitting by the railroad tracks in Chalmette, LA after Hurricane Katrina? There was a big brew-ha-ha that followed because, instead of helping the dog after taking the picture, the reporter and photographer just left the poor oily shih-tzu there and went on to take their next potential award-winning photograph.

A few caring individuals swooped in and hung up posters looking for "oily dog". Finally, she has been found.

oh my gosh!! what a great story!! TEAR!  i can't believe that the photographer and reporter didn't pick her up!!  :o at least she's been found!!
