Now taking donations for bail and legal fees....
« on: December 26, 2005, 03:21:00 pm »
Because I swear if I find Baloo's previous owners I'm gonna kill 'em!  >:(

Ok, let me start at the beginning.  Came home yesterday to Baloo having a hematoma in his ear.  Thought I could doctor it myself but it soon became obvious that it hurt too much and he was going to have to be sedated.  Ok... so off to (the absolute most wonderful) vet we go this morning.  $102.60 later...he now has antibiotics, a clean ear, and a new dr.  Btw, anywhere else it would have cost me around $300 for the same treat ment.

So on the way home, I decided to stop by the chiropractor since it was on the way.  SOMEBODY BEAT THE LIVING h*ll OUT OF THIS DOG!!!!!!!  >:( >:( >:(  It is a testament to this breed that he's not completely nuts!  So now we have weekly chiropractor visits and in between those, consistant ice packs to reduce the edema on HIS SPINE!!!!  Now would someone please explain to me why you would beat a dog so severely on the spine to cause this amount of trauma???!!!  Sorry, I digress.  He has severe subluxations before the hips that go all the way down the tail.  His axis is rotated.  He also has severe subluxations between the shoulders.  No freaking wonder he doesn't want to bloody SIT!!@!  It hurts, dammit!

Ok, rant over....

Don't stop ranting!!!  I'm next to you!  There is absolutely NOOOO excuse for beating a dog!  NONE!!!  Any more than there is an excuse for beating a child, a woman, etc!  I think people who think the above need 'discipline' need to get their sorry rear ends to a very good therapist or to be locked up for good!!!

Okay....done with rant
.............. .............. .............. .......for the moment!!! >:(

Killing his previous owners would be way to kind!!...I would like to severely beat the crap out of them & leave them live with the pain of permanent damage to their body!!!...Then I would like to drop them in a strange place in the middle of the night with no understanding of why this is happening to them...The only thing I would not want done to them that has been down to Baloo's that a kind, caring angel like yourself comes to rescue them!!!...I am being kind when I say I hope they burn in h*ll for the deeds done to Baloo!!...It is amazing how un-hristian like I get in the face of atrocities commited to the innocent!!

I have to agree Gypsy.  Killing is way too easy but I know how to draw it out for days....  (I read WAY too much!)  He's resting better this afternoon but the ear still hurts like the dickens.  It's gonna be baby steps with this guy all the way to recovery.  Talked to the vet again and she is recommending acupunture which I will probably do ina  month or so.  Thanks guys...for listening again.

If people will do this to a dog, imagine what they would do to an uncooperative child.  >:(

I'm still to mad to say what I would like to do to them!  I guess in one way it is good we don't know since it would be someone local.  The best thing they ever did for him was to leave him it the drop box so that he could find his way to someone that will love him.  The photo of him on the bed is just the best!

I don't want to think about what they would do to a child.  I can actually talk about it now without "seeing red".

I find it reprehensible that people will make death threat against another person, be they evil, or good. The author offered no evidence that the dog was hurt by a person, a car could do the same damage, and more. I congratulate the good Samaritan who is helping the poor animal, but have little time for the mindless mob mentality that only subscribes to more violent acts, in which they become worse than the  hurting of this animal. If you are that upset, seek more severe laws against those who have been found guilty of committing violent acts against animals including mankind. This act of course take time and real commitment, if you believe in your cause Forget the bravado of I am going to kill , and torture too, just like the alleged person. Lastly report such behavior to the authorities, even when it will cost you some money and time, and possible a very angry neighbor. Hopefully the angry responses will get the point of this note.

Thank you Doby...Perhaps you've never heard of venting?  It's a form of complaining that keeps us from doing remarkably stupid acts of frustration and anger.  How would you know what I'm doing or not doing to change laws and relieve the suffering of voiceless victims.  In this case, there would be no prosecution, no retribution for this victim.  He was abandoned without any history and so, no known previous owners.  And, for the record, I am at least DOING something rather than sitting back and sniping at others.

Your welcome Dixie.

Doby - I just realized that you are new here and so don't have the full story on this dog.  This one and about 3 others have been a saga for quite some time.  Please go back and read the previous posts so you will understand where all of this is coming from.  You can also check out the "compulsory spay/neuter thread".

Walking easier, eating better, seems much happier.  Will be on antibiotics for a while but the swelling and heat is going away.  Has developed a fondness for bizarre sleeping spots like in front of the front door or in front of the toilet....No rhyme nor reason either.  I've finally found a compromise on the food issue.  A couple spoons of canned, 1 raw egg, flax oil, his pills, and something "bad" like cheese.  Probably way too much protien but we'll see.  He's pooping too (forgot to mention his squirts...eeew ww).

The up side to all of this is that he and Bella seem to have made nice.  Part of that is he's not allowed to eat anywhere near them so one can't intimidate the other.   ::)

Thanks for asking....

I glad he is feeling better.  Boy do I know the runny poop issues with Sugar Bear.  He got into a bag of animal crackers and will have the runs for days.  Dixie on the other hand has a cast iron tummy.
