Siberian Husky from Hurr. Rita in Lake Charles, LA
« on: January 08, 2006, 12:36:19 pm »
There is a young adult Siberian Husky in Lake Charles, LA that is in a desperate situations. She was rescued following hurricane Rita and adopted. The adopted home then neglected her by sticking her in the backyard and not providing adequate food and water, let alone love and attention.

A rescuer took her in, but the dog is not housebroken, this rescuer is not big-dog savvy and does not have proper facilities to keep her outside. She has been crating her during the day and at night and she is doing OK with that, but the rescuer does not feel it is fair to the dog.

She cannot take her to the Lake Charles shetler because they will euthanize her immediately (they would consider her an "owner release").

She is up to date on her vaccinations and heartworm negative. She is not spayed yet, though. Can anyone help? I have the contact info. if you would like more information.

God, I wish I could help out, unfortunatly, not until I get a place that allows dogs  :(
True love is being gone all day, and coming home to a dog who licks your face.
