lol, ummm....i like the idea.  lol.

so BREAK THROUGH.  there is good and bad to this story.

---i have finally lost my mind.  no kidding, lost it.  i am pissed off, and really tired of crap, so i'm not taking it anymore.  my one fear of angus has always been that he would kill me, but i am so far gone now that i have no fear...like i have joked with three people on the phone today, me and angus ARE going to get into it, and if he bites off my hands, i will use my stubs to jab at his eyes until he submits.  i WILL be the freaking alpha, no matter what this is going to take....15 months of angus will do this to a person.  so, all fear aside, and pure rage in my eye...here's the good news.  i believe angus has finally figured out i'm ready to have a fight...and has not moved from his down stay in 5 HOURS......the re is barking, growling, howling, and kids outside and he has not moved lol.  i think the fear has finally gone from me to him.  now, what we need to do is get rid of the fear all together and just have him decide i am his master and he does not need to fear me but to listen to me.

so that is where we are.  say a prayer i don't lose it.  thanks.

(ps)...i know i sound crazy here, lol...but honestly, 15 months with this dog would do this to anyone....and for anyone kinda freaked out..i would never hurt angus...jaime can tell ya.
Ty Nicks...That was the first real laugh I've had today.. damn sure needed it!!...But, I relly think you are onto something here!...Samson tested me big time at around 7 or 8 months old...He would charge me in the yard & grab me by my sleeve on the way by...& he always had this crazy look in his eyes too!...He was really making me unsure & one day I'd had it!!...I became much more irritated than unsure & I didn't care what he did I had HAD IT!!!...Guess what?...Samson came around really fast after that & now he is my furry soul mate...He is currently the only dog I can deem a good dog here...See my "What they have to chew on...What they choose to chew on" post.

Einstein does this occasionally, too.  He's so cute when he's pouncing around, I hate to discourage him but then he crosses the line from "play" into OMIGOD HE'S GOING TO KNOCK ME DOWN!  So, last night I decided training in definitely in our future.

Very happy to hear that Angus had a shift in his paradigm.  And you, too!  Something really powerful about being the alpha -- power with wisdom.  I think it should be a required course for high schoolers.  I've learned so much about how I react to all the people in my life, just from having to maintain control over my BIG PAW dog.
