Newfie Pup question
« on: March 27, 2006, 04:05:40 pm »
We just brought home our new Newfie baby boy on Saturday. :D I will up load my pix soon. I have a question for all Big Paws owners, What weight was your pup at when they were 8wks, 12wks and 16 weeks? Our boy is HUGE he is 25.6 pounds and will be 9 weeks old on the 29th of March. :o  I know Newfies get King-Kong size I just want to know if others are growing the same or faster.

Sasha was 9 weeks when we brought her home.  She was 17 pounds.  Sasha is just over a year now and is 120 pounds.  Bella was only 8 weeks when we brought her home and she was only about 12 pounds.  She's about 4.5 months old now and is about 35 pounds.  Of course, these are both "petite" little girl newfies ::) so males will probably be larger.

When we brought Chester (brown Newf) home from the breeder at 12 weeks, he was 18 1/2 pounds (we just made the cut off since a pup can't fly in the cabin of the airplane over 20 pounds!!)

The Landseers were a bit bigger...but we've been really careful with Chester gaining too much weight too fast. He's just over a year now and about 100 pounds.

Can't wait to see pics of your big boy!!!
