Green mucus in poop???????????????
« on: June 03, 2005, 07:09:10 pm »
I noticed today that Sugar Bear had a little geen mucus in his stool.  His stool has been very soft for the past few days. I though I would just feed him rice and chicken for a few days.   Any ideas on what this could be?

I have seen mucous in him poop from time to time. This is the only time I have noticed the green.  He is feeling great in every other way.  I currently have him on rice and chicken for the next few days.  He my have gotten a fish out of the lake. Dixie does it all the time and he is just starting to follow her lead in looking for dead fish.  I will watch him very close and if I see anything else that I do not like the looks of it is to the vet for him.  Thanks so much for the information.

This may be completely off, but if he is feeling a bit ill perhaps he is eating some grass and that is making the green-colored mucus.  Is that possible?

Will do.  After I lost Rosie last year my vet knows that if there is any little thing I am worried about she it getting a call.
