Thank you guys! tonka is special he is out of my very first litter and an emmett son whome i had to lay to rest due to old age early this year, so tonka is his fathers son. :)
as far as cows, yes! and also does anyone know what kind of cow has black in the middle and white on either side?
they are not holstein and they are colored so unusual?
we have a herd of them by us and i always mean to want to go take photos of them but forget! :)

At the risk of you guys thinking I'm even stranger than you may already know me to be, I have to tell you about the nightmare I had last night, related to this thread.

First let me say that it is the weirdest things in life that my brain latches onto for nightmare food.

In the nightmare, I'm on a highway, on the shoulder.  This gorgeous brown newfy is running around on the highway and cars are whizzing around it.  I am darting around trying to rescue him, when his owner screams, 'Leave Chili alone'.  I say, 'What?  he is going to be killed out here, we have to save him'.  And the guy says, "nah, I named him 'Chili' cause I read on this website that Newfs taste like cow...I'm just waiting for him to get hit so I can make some Newfy-Chili out of Chili".

I woke up in a sweat, freaked out about this poor dog.  I think I need to be more careful which threads I read!
 :D :o :'( :-\

The oreos are Belted Galloways....I live in cow country but I still had to look up their real name cause I just call them Oreos  ;).  Kali just likes to freak out unsuspecting McDonalds workers by being a bear.

Tonka is absolutely adorable!  Well you know Tatonka means buffalo, so I guess people were close enough!  When people encounter our pups for the first time, their reaction is usually comical.   Are they Saint Bernards?  They are huge!  Oh my look at the drool, that's disgusting!  Most people, well I should say, non-dog people have this reaction.  We say, If you like us, you like our dogs or don't come around.

Keep on posting Tonka's pics!
