dry nose
« on: June 30, 2006, 06:14:44 am »
Is the old saying about a "wet nose means a healthy dog" true?

Teddy has a dry nose.  It has never been wet that I have noticed, in fact its getting kind of flakey/scaley looking.

Should I put something on it?  Suggestions please!

thats kinda interesting Bryces nose is like that to. Sometimes i put this clear cream on it that that the dr gave me for my dry skin there is no smell to it and he does'nt seem to mind it.It helps but i m not sure what causes it he is a very healthy dog.My other 2 have cold wet noses all of the time! marina

Hutch has had a problem with his nose being dry (meaning scaley and flakey) since the day we brought him home 2 years ago. Our vet recommneded vitamin e oil. The only problem that I find with it is that Hutch then licks his nose alot to get it off.I have been trying to find Nose Balm, from the Well Adjusted Dog Co. but am having trouble finding it here in Halifax. Anybody else have an idea?
