Movies with BIG paws...

I am watching "Jaws" with my son & nephew...Both of "my" boys spotted a smooth coated St. Bernard in the movie on the docks...What movies have you all seen that have Big paws in them?...While I was typing this the boys also spotted a big Yellow Lab on a boat...I have them trained well...lol!

I always liked the Police Acadamy movie (I forget which number) that had the Brown "Police" Newfoundland retrieving the ball in the underpass and the resultant implied carnage that followed. But then I do have a thing about Newfs.

Both Sandlot movies...a fawn OEM in the first and a brindle OEM in the second.  Whenever someone doesn't know what Boudreaux is, we ask if they saw those movies...usual ly their eyes get big. :o  <giggling>

How 'bout Cujo?

There was a girl asking me about saints a few weeks back.  I told her to watch Bethoven and then Cujo and decide if she really wanted a saint.  (LOL, I'm soo mean!!)

I read that the same dog played in both Cujo and Bethoven 1 and 2.

"Hanging Up" featured a Landseer Newfoundland (who was my first Newf, Otis' Dad!!!).  It was with Walter Mattau (sp!!) and Diane Keeton.  The movie wasn't very good, but the first time we watched it at home with the kids, Otis was about three months old and the kids had no idea how big he was going to get....and when "Pappy" (Otis' dad) came on the screen, the kids all went crazy and started yelling...."MOOMMMM!!  DO  YOU KNOW HOW BIG HE'S GOING TO GET??!!!!"  Very funny!

Eight below, 6 sibes and 2 malamutes. What a sad movie :'(.
I don't think that the same Saint played the Cujo role and the Beethoven roles, Cujo was released in '83 and Beethoven 1 wasn't until '92.

Mans Best Friend (horror), has a Tibetan Mastif (sp) named Max...

"Finding Neverland" with  Johnnie Depp has ....well , they call it a newfie , but it's grey and white , so kind of reminds me of a pyr , but whatever he is he's gorgeous ! And , on the bloopers , he's absolutely hillarious !!!! He keeps peeing ....and peeing .... and finally Johnnie comes over and checks to see if he's okay . LOL  ;D

My favorite is the movie "Dick."


It's a comedy about Richard Nixon. I thought the movie was hilarious, and the plot somewhat revolved around a German Shorthaired pointer. (Kirsten Dunst and Michelle WIlliams are the official White House dog walkers).

Nixon actually had a Cocker Spaniel named Checkers, but I'm glad they used a GSP or I would have never rented the movie.
