Hi, my name is Randy and my Wifes name is Deb .... just got a notification of this new board .... thought I would see what it is all about. Looks like I am the first to post in the GSD section ... how cool is that? Anyway, we are from southeast Michigan. We are owned by 2 GSD's our male is Can/UKC (AKC pt'd) Ch. ShadowValleys Baron of OurHouse a.k.a. as "Baron" who is 4 years old. Our bitch is ShadowValleys Nora B of OurHouse a.k.a. "Elle". We are active in conformation showing and spoiling our dogs. We belong to about a gazillion other lists and groups. Hope to be meeting some of y'all in the coming days.  ;D

Gorgeous German shepherd  ::)- Very lovely size - How long had you been in showing?? - I do have a large painted photo (not yet in framed) of Germand shepherd - Also couple of my friends do own Short and long coat german shepherd....I had been in showing for nearly 10 mth with my Bernese mountain pup here in NZ - I will be looking forward to do the showing in America after we moved in 2 years from New Zealand. :)

Hi there ....
We have been showing our dogs since Baron was 4 1/2 months old. Elle needs just 2 more points for her Canadian Championship. Then we hope to breed them, they both come from a long line of Champions.

Good Luck with your Bernese, I have seen many of them at shows and they are a very nice, very handsome breed of dog. Would love to see some pics of your pup ....

Welcome!  I was wondering where the GSD lovers were!  I had one, she was one of my all time favorite dogs; I still miss her.  Your dogs are lovely.

Hi, my name's Wendy and my sheps are Willow and Cairo.  Willow was my first dog sport dog.  Her uh - personality :-)- meant that I had to learn to be a real dog trainer instead of just punting along.  100+ of herding classes and tons of ob classes later I can finally say that I know something.  Not sure what, but something :-) :)  She is retired to cat herding now due to health reasons.

Cairo is my current *victim*.  Going on two years old and my first mostly (almost totally) positive trained dog.  We both learn as we go.  Like how to make more and better kinds of dog treats :-)  He will be entered in the local Rally trials this spring in the hopes of his first title.

This is the first time I've posted to one of these boards so please bear with me.  Can anyone point me to the section explaining how to post pictures to your reply?  I would love to share photos as Randy did of his two beautiful dogs.

Looking forward to hearing about more GSDs.

Hi all
I am glad to see GSD added to this forum!  Its great to have a gsd in the home.  Her name is Chloe and she is 2 1/2 yrs old and the love of our lives!  We adopted her when she was about 6 wks old!  I don't know what I would do without her! 

We also have a DSH cat named Cassie who just loves Chloe and sometimes gives the dog a bath! ;D

Glad to be apart of Big Paws!

Hello!  Fellow GSD-owned here, as well.  I currently have two, BOTH under 2 yrs!  We got our female in hopes of finding a male counterpart in a few years, but we found out about a rescue and it was just meant to be. Caesar will be a year next weekend and Juno will be two years this summer. Caesar has a grade 4 heart murmur, so we got him not knowing if he'd even make it through the year. So far, so good!!

Great looking dogs! I have a 10 month old plush coat female, red/black shepherd. Right now she is not here because she is being trained for ob and protection by a great trainer. I do not have experience in owning a shepherd. Also, I have a 14 month old baby girl who is extremely close to her dog. Here is picture of Oso. Her official name is, Asta Vom Adelhertz.

Hey, "BaronGSD!"  It's nice to see other GSD enthusiasts in Michigan on this site!  What part of the state are you located in?  Did you show at the Cobo Hall show this past weekend? 

Also, hello to all the other GSD "moms and dads" on the site.   :D

Hello all,
I am the proud pet of my GSD Kylie vom Kraftwerks. She is 15 months old and in training for Search and Rescue. Great to see a new board to keep up with. I like most on here are involved in every GSD board I have found. I live in Newnan, GA. Look foward to meeting new people here. Chris

Hello All-

I'm glad to see some shepherd lovers here!  My name is Renee and these are my girls Hana and Peeka Boo.   Hana (the black one) is a rescued dog, she was neglected so escaped, got kicked by a horse, and when she yelped got mauled by a great dane.  She was just a puppy.  Actually a coworker recscued her and we took in her and I've never regretted it!  My other dog Peeka is a shepherd mix and we adopted her from the local SPCA.  I'd never been acquainted with shepherds before and now I am a true fan.  I absolutely love everyone's pics!

WOW, this is great!! .. so many other GSD lovers!!! ... Hey Kel, we are in Trenton Michigan which is south of Detroit almost on Lake Erie. No we didn't do the Cobo shows because I don't care for benched shows. The hours are just to long. We will be in Birch Run the week end of April 9th and 10th with Baron entered in Open Male and then we have a show in the Soo with Elle in May ....
