Hi everyone just thought I would give a heads up just in case, it might rain Saturday so bring some rain gear.

I was just going to ask about the weather.  It's gonna rain in Grand Rapids Saturday morning and Friday night.

Well, it says "Scattered Thunderstorms" so I am keeping my fingers crossed for it to be veeeeeeeeeeeee rrrrrrrrrry scattered! hahaha! If not, I guess we're all going to have to pack into Stella and Dale's camper! hahaha!

I was thinking about bringing one of those sun shelter thingys.  I want to stop and get one maybe tomorrow.

We will scoot over, make room, whatever it takes. The camper has a canopy too, so we can make do if we get reeeaaalllyy close, LOL

Well, I'm going to have Mark build us a lean-to at the campsite, so that will help. I just hope that the rain doesn't ruin our beach fun! On a positive note, though...the fear of rain will probably mean that we will have the beach all to ourselves!

Tip:

Get a big tarp (15x15) & twine and you can tie the tarp to trees and tents/campers and it will keep you out of the rain (or sun).  Been camping in the rain and it makes a HUGE difference! Have fun!!!!!!!!

YES! Get a tarp! Mark is an expert rain-shelter builder person. Also, everyone may want to rain-proof their tent before they leave. You can buy the spray stuff in the sporting goods section at Wal-Mart or at any camping/sporting goods store like Gander Mountain, Dick's, etc. The only thing is that I think that you need to let it dry overnight, so everyone might want to set up their tents tonight and spray them, and let them dry until tomorrow.
