Don't no if anybody as already posted this but i though you might be interested to read a artical from a english newspaper about the first newfoundland dog patrolling a cornwall beach .. www.telegraph. co.uk I think it is a great story and well worth a read

That is so cool.  I love the pic of him, so important looking, how can anyone drown when he is on the job. :)

That is a great story to read, although it makes total sense.  Newfs are born to do that, it just takes a little training to get them to understand these skills that they naturally have.  On a funny side note, not that I was looking for it, but if you look closely in the picture of Bilbo, his lipstick is hanging out.  Yuck!  Do all Newfs do that?  I know they can't help it, but I really don't care to see my dog's wacker every time he sits.  :P

Also, did you guys click on the first link that Zenna gave that had the story about the artist Ron Mueck?  Those figures he creates are so real and scary looking, creepy stuff.  They look human!  :o

I never noticed bilbo's lipstick as you call it ..lol hanging out :D.. chunky always has his sticking out when he is hot it quite embrassing when you have young children and they say *whats that mum*  :D
