Do they look guilty to you?

It finally rained a bit this morning. The dogs LOVED it. Here are a couple of quick shots of them in the kitchen where they will be hanging out for a while. I'm going to let them out to play in the mud a few more times before washing them this afternoon. Unfortunately for them, this means they'll be spending their time inside in the kitchen, but I figure they'd probably rather play in the mud than get baths now and have to stay inside the rest of the day!

It just makes me wonder exactly what Riley was doing that he ended up like he did... I mean, the mud socks on his long legs I get, but the muddy face? It looks like he dunked his noggin in the dirt.  ??? LOL

What a good Mommy you are to let them have some fun before you bath them!  (I'm not sure I could do the same - lol!)

I found out what Riley was doing to his nose. The run off from one of the gutters was pooling up on the ground (still don't know why it was doing this), and he was messing in it (dunking his face from what I can tell... he's not *that* big on water, though).

I took them out to the front yard tonight, put their leashes around a tree, and hosed them off, soaped them up, and rinsed them. They are drying off now in the kitchen while they sleep after a good towel drying. They're almost free! (That's how they see it, I'm sure.)
