Protective Big Brother Drake
« on: September 01, 2006, 04:00:13 am »
Drake is going to be a great big brother to our soon to be here baby girl.  Here are some pics of him listening to Paige kick her Mommy.  He really did lift his head when she kicked hard, as if to say,"Wow"!  They are going to be best buds.

That has got to be one of the sweetest images I've ever seen. Drake is going to be a wonderful big brother, and it just warms my heart to see how much you both are involving Drake in the excitement of the baby. You both are very rare folks.

Thanks for sharing!

December 10th is the projected due date.  We're hoping she holds out another couple of days until the 14th.  Then she would share her birthday with Sarah, Sarah's Dad and Sarah's Uncle!!!  3 generations sharing the same birthday would be amazing!

Awww , that would be awesome if she did wait until the 14th to arrive ! It's Sarah's first baby right ? There's a good chance she will go longer than her due date  :)

Thanks guys, we are so excited to see Paige and Drake together.  We didn't even pose that picture either!  We lay down on the floor with Drake almost every night and talk to him and pet and love him.  Sarah was really tired and passed out and he put his head up on her preggo belly all on his own!  What a good boy!  Animals do the strangest things....

They do, because I truly think just 'think different'!  I'm sure Drake is fully aware of what's happening and his protective instinct is running at full force.  Just wait until he has 'his' baby!!

We had an Akita who was totally frightening to all strangers, but my youngest son, Dirk used Teddy's fur to pull himself up and Teddy would walk so   s l o w l y  so Dirk could toddle along beside him.  If Dirk climbed up anything, you could hear the screech all over the house from Dirk's  frustration:  Teddy would have a firm hold of his diapers to keep him from getting too high.  What a wonderful part of your life you're beginning!  I can't wait to hear the stories!!!

That is the sweetest thing ever. Drake has such a personality. I have to admit it seems like I know Drake so well already. 3/4 of your Youtube 'Sliding Drake' and 'Newf Whisperer' hits are probably from me. He'll be an amazing brother.
