We had a great time in BC. The weather was hot!

We started off going to visit a friend in Fernie for 2 days, then headed out to Salmon Arm, then onto the Okanagan...Â
Fernie was fun, cute little spot nestled nicely in the mountains. Salmon Arm was BY FAR our favorite, the campground there was so amazing

The Okanagan was fun, but it's much more 'touristy' now, than it was when I used to go there every summer as a kid...

Â
Kate was a really good girl on our trip, except for waking us up at 5:30am nearly every morningÂ

Little STINKER!!!

But, the good thing is when we're camping, we're in bed early anyhow! Kate did LOTS of swimming, met lots of other dogs - and I think it's fair to say she thoroughly enjoyed the trip!!! The most amazing thing happened out there though - a lot of people knew what kind of dog Kate was!!! I'm so used to explaining everytime someone meets her, so that was kinda neat

She is such a great dog to travel with, as soon as the truck starts moving she's asleepÂ

One day we drove 6 hours and she slept the entire way (except for pee breaks of course)...
I've attached a whole bunch of pics (they didn't all fit on this first post - there's more on the next few). The titles of the pictures pretty much explain themselves. There's also a video of Kate swimming in Okanagan Lake (in Summerland):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yK8zndlMm1AShe is so silly looking when she swims, she slithers like a snake through the waterÂ

And, I get a complete KICK out of her back legs - she looks like a beaver treading water
This nice little trip is exactly what we needed (as a family). I sure wish it would have lasted longer (but at the same time) I'm also glad to be home, and back to BPO for that matter!!!Â
