It was a bit of a whirlwind to start out with. We had to get up aroung 4:30 am the first day so we could get there by 9 am. We had to take our Rotti to a boarding kennel then leave to the show. We actually got there early, which never happens to us, I guess we were organized enough.
We didn't show till around 11 am the first day, so we had time to groom and get ready.
Joy did great, she was not like herself at all, new dog in her , she was the show dog that I wanted after all. She loved it and she did so well. I on the other hand, was a basket case, but did well when it came right down to it. Joy placed first in Junior puppy, (only bitch), second in open class (two bitches), other bitch was 11 months old), and best puppy in her breed.(only bitch)
Second day she did the same. Every day we had a different judge.
Third day she did the same until best puppy in breed, she got second to an 11 month old dog, a few had thought we would beat him but I guess the judge thought differently.
All in all it was an awesome experience, one I won't forget for a long time.
I was so proud of my dog, she was amazing. She was too funny when she was in her kennel between showing she would just lay there and watch the people walk by or come over and visit, she was so calm. It was relaxing to her I think, she looked like she was watching t.v..
She hated the hotel room though, too hot for her, even though with the airconditionin g on, and freezing us out, it was still too hot.
We met so many people there, everyone that we met had a valuable piece of advice for us, all good, and all that I will remember for the next time out there.
