Cosmo's Eyes

Cosmo went to an eye specialist today.  He confirmed that his third eyelids are rolled outward.  The poor boy will have to have surgery on both eyes in about one month. $$$$$

I thought I would post some pics of his eyes now.  Hopefully we'll have excellent post-op eye pics to post.

The last pic is one of his chin.  It is my favorite part of him!!

Ouch...  :-[ What a bummer. Dogs are so amazing, they can deal with so much without even the slightest hint. Of course that makes it hard for Moms and Dads... Best of luck for Cosmo and the surgery.  :)

Cosmo loves all of the compliments!!  Thanks! 

Nicole, the surgery involves dissecting the cartiledge that frames the third eyelid.  I don't think it is too complicated and the vet said he prefers to work on Big Paws.  He also ask that I don't repeat that so what am I doing, but posting it on a website!!  Sorry tinytracks. 

In the end there will be no stitches to remove and he'll go home with an antibiotic ointment the same day as surgery.

I am thinking that's what my vet did to Connor's left eye... but I think he didn't remove enough of it. :-\

Cosmo really is such a handsome boy!!! :-*

That is terrible if it was that he didn't remove enough.  Now you aren't living in the same place and away from that vet??
