We're really, finally, going to be parents!!!

So, some of you may have followed along with my drama of being rejected by rescue after rescue due to various, petty reasons. So, newflvr put me in touch with SoCal Newf Rescue and today I am driving down south to pick up our new boy! Hi name is Grizzly and he is three and a half years old. He was surrendered by a family due to the daughter's severe asthma. He's very mellow, loves people, and woos for attention. Sean and I are so excited!!
I am going to try to piost some pics so let's hope they work!

Well, I probably should mention that we are changing his name...
We live in an area with lots of bears, and so we figured that yelling out "Grizzly!" to a large, furry beast in the forest would be rather disconcerting to some. So, we're keeping it close and calling him Izzy. (Hopefully, that might change as we get to know him)

I can't tell you how excited I am for one and all!  Grizzly (aka Izzy), because he gets to live in the MOST amazing piece of heaven for a Newf (snow, acres of forest, streams, kids, loving family!!), Sean and Jessica, because they get to enter the world of Newfs!, the foster family who has taken such good care of him and helped so much in easing his transition from one place to another  and BPO because we get to have another addicted Big Paw family!!

Edited to add:  Thanks to Southern Calif. Newf Rescue for ignoring all the usual requirements and looking at Sean and Jessica's individual situation in deciding that a Newf would be fine there! :-* :-*

He is absolutely beautiful!!! I had to laugh at your comment about yelling Grizzly though!  So glad that common sense seems to have prevailed in this case ... safe drive and happy homecoming!!

He is so gorgeous. How great it is that you did get him. I sort of been wondering, if you would get everything done in time to claim him.

Best of luck to all of you. I would be just ???? enough to leave his name as Grizzly. What a great conversation starter that would be.

Good, about time! You've spent so much time trying to do this right its about time one of these adoption organization recognized it. Hopefully all is going well, we'll be awaiting more pics as Izzy settles in.

I like the Izzy the Grizzly line.
