Chewing on leg-advice?
« on: December 11, 2006, 06:50:50 am »
Hi, McDougal has started chewing on his left rear thigh and it is turning into a raw spot.  He is does stop for periods of time but when he is doing it, he's completely obsessed by it and won't stop until I physically force him too.  There doesn't seem to be a rash or anything.  Any ideas on why/what is causing this?  Should I take him to the vet or wait to see if it stops-he started yesterday.  Thanks!

maybe it's something blossoming??  axle has just started doing this as well, and has chewed his leg bloody.  if he doesn't respond well to benedryl, or stop, he'll be going to the vet very soon!
