yup.  he was from Grand Rapids, MI.  these were taken on Patterson Ave. north of the Gerald Ford International Airport.  the plane landed at 3ish and the procession came down the street around 4.  it's a bit of history.

Thank you for sharing those pictures.  That was amazing that you could be there to witness that bit of history.

Your last picture is rather haunting. I saw it the other day. I decided I needed to come back and tell you. Even if I did not know what was going on there is something about that picture. Maybe quiet or passive endurance more than just waitning.

thank you!!  it was a haunting day.  a hostoric day really.  i'll never see another presidential funeral procession again.  President Ford was from Grand Rapids and the town shut down for about a week.
the pic of the little girl in the tree...was really sweet.
