Sasha is in surgery today **Update**

Sasha could use some positive thoughts today.  Her knee hasn't healed completely from the strain/sprain at Thanksgiving.  So, today she is at the vet hospital at OSU to have surgery.  If the ligament is torn or damaged they will do a TPLO.  They couldn't be certain from the x-rays and physical exam.

Please think of my little Sasha today!  :'(

Sending Sasha & all of you extra hugs & good wishes.  I hope all goes well with her surgery today & she is on the fast track to recovery.  Keep us posted when you can.

OH MY GOD!  tis the season for ACL/TPLO surgory.  I know this drill.  and i know shasha will come out just fine!!! it's a long road...but you'll make it. 
they'll put her under and test her knee for dorr motion and then do their thing.  but it sounds like what i heard that fateful day exactly 12 weeks ago today.

Thanks everyone!  I think the positive thoughts are helping! :)

I just heard from the surgeon and the good news is that the ligament is not torn.  The bad news is that the cruciate ligament and the meniscus are a little "discolored".  We'll have to wait for the biopsy results.  In the meantime, Sasha's knee has been stabilized with a nylon (?) cord in the hopes of preventing further damage.

Sasha is in the recovery/ICU ward for now and won't get to come home for several days. :(  She is waking up though and did just fine in surgery.

Thanks again everyone!  Please keep Sasha in your thoughts.

Glad to hear Sasha had a good sugery and the ligament isn't torn. Please keep us posted on the biopsy results and again I'm sending lots of well wishes and slobbery kisses from Gracie to Sasha.

Sasha is recovering well at the vet hospital.  I wish she was closer to home so we could see her...OSU is about 3 hours from us.  She had some water last night and the vet called this morning to say she is doing well today.  We should be able to bring her home on Friday or Saturday.

I'm pretty worried about the biopsy results though...hopef ully it won't be anything serious.

Please keep Sasha in your thoughts!

Thanks so much for the updates, I was wondering how she was doing! I'm so glad the ligament wasn't torn.  Will be keeping Sasha in my thoughts and sending tons of healing vibes her way!  Here's to a speedy recovery!  :)
