I'm about to adopt a Fila

Hi all.  I'm new here and I'm hoping to adopt an 8-month old male Fila from a shelter. 

Any words of advise?  We have 4 kids and we were thinking of adopting a rottie female as a companion dog.

Have you done lots of research on the fila breed?  they are not a breed for the inexperianced owner.  I do not know how they are with children..but I know they can be very dog aggressive.  Hopefully taijinrr can chime in here she owns a fila.

Well, I guess I should change my username....lo oks like the Fila I wanted is not too friendly with small animals (anything under 50 lbs) and I have a 3-year old.  So....:-(

aww yeah...  No reason to put your children at possible risk.  I hope you find something else.  Let us know how it goes!
