I like to feed raw on occasion but not as the main diet, just because I know it's complicated to find the balance, and I really don't have the time to devote to it. I used to give my Eskie raw chicken (boneless) and she wasn't able to eat it unless I cut it up for her which was incredibly digusting for me. But she tried and tried by herself and just didn't have any luck, too tough or something. Sure loved it though! When she got better at it, I don't even think she chewed, just swallowed whole haha.
And then there's the whole w/or w/out bones controversy. My mom went to feeding her dog raw for awhile- chicken backs etc..and he eventually had blood in his stools and I've heard that from some owners. I know it can be excellent but I'm still on the fence.
