Scar Tissue????
« on: April 25, 2007, 09:12:55 pm »
Atlas had an Umbilical hernia when he was a baby and his breeder had it taken care of before we took him home, he had some scar tissue there but tonight i noticed one part of it sticking out!!?? The rest of the scar is bumpy but not that bumpy and I'm not sure what it is or if it is normal sometimes for it to stick out like that?

It isnt soft, its hard like scar tissue, and it isnt red or inflamed like its infected, and it doesnt hurt him to touch it.

He is supposed to go to daycare tomorrow and Im not sure if i should cancel and not take him? Anyone else have experience with scar tissue and will this go down??

well I wouldn't see why not, If it isnt bothering him and he isnt in any pain I dont see why he couldn't go to day care.  I think that it is gonna be one of those things like Morphs ear that it bothers me a heck of a lot more than it bothers him.  He has a papiloma on the inside flap of his ear and the vet told me that it was nothing to worry about and it would go away.  But it still bugs me and he doesnt even notice it.

I wouldn't worry about it and let the lil guy go have some fun.
