HELP - Blu just ingested DES

I have been searching the internet to see if DES is toxic in male dogs, but haven't found much info. Does anyone know?

Blu just inhaled a DES pill intended for my roomie's incontinent lab - when it accidentally fell to the ground. It was slathered in butter so naturally Blu was on it with record speed... before we could get to it.

Of course I am now freaking out.

Any advice?

I honestly dont think it will do much harm, if its being given to your roomates dog and Blu got to it, it happens. Is there an emergency vet in your area you could page and ask? Just in case? You could always make him throw it up with some hydrogen peroxide. Give him like 3 tablespoons and see what happens. If not give him another tablespoon. There is more info on that on the web...

thanks for being my voice of reason... I swear this head cold has sucked out every ounce of my common sense....lol

 I called the emergency vet's office and they said Blu will be just fine. DES only poses a risk to pregnant females.

Glad he is ok- Imani and Frankie want to know if he would like to go with them for "girls night out" since he has some estrogen ATM.

It looks like my "boy" is just fine today.

When I woke up this morning Blu was gabbing on the phone while painting his nails hot pink  ;D

I'm glad he's doing so well!  LOVE  hot pink nails! hahaha

It's so scary when they ingest things that they shouldn't have.....like the time Koby decided to ingest about a dozen carmel/chocolate chip cookies!  ::)
