Sierra is "valedictorian"
« on: May 31, 2007, 02:38:22 am »
Well, Sierra's puppy classes are going well.  She is the best in the class!  The trainer's are always saying how well she does and everyone there can't stop saying how pretty she is.  I love hearing that every week.  They don't talk about anyone else's dog like that!  We switched dogs for a little while to socialize them a with others and the girl who got her was so excited!  The trainer handed the leash to her and she said "I was hoping I'd get Sierra!"  I'm so proud!  LOL!  She was a little surprised at how strong she was though.   ;D

Oh, and you were all right.  She is no longer a sissy during playtime.  She rolls around with all the other pups!

Way to go Sierra.  I think I would be the handler with my arm raised as high as I could shamelessly get it to volunteer to work with her myself.  What a good girl.

Rosco, 1 yr Toy German Shettweiler (designer mutt of course)and toy cause he's not Rotti or GSD size AT ALL.  Though they said he was a mix of the two..  Tonka, 3 year Great Dane
And last and most certainly NOT least, Linus 5 year old cat.

She may be the best in her class, but she's not an angel there.  I swear she has ADD because I can't hold her attention to save my life.  All those playmates and sticks to chew on are too much temptation I guess.  And when we're not doing exercises, I have to hold her upside down on my lap and scratch her belly to keep her calm.  Everybody including the trainers giggle about it because here I am with this 40 lb dog on my lap.  She's already as big as my black lab so it's not th most comfortable position for me!  But I guess anything for my baby!  I'm so well trained.  LOL!

Thanks for that little tidbit of information... something to look forward too...  LOL.  I will post more pics as soon as I can.  She doesn't look anything like the fuzzy little puppy in that picture anymore...She's starting to look like a Newfoundland.  She's starting to lose her puppy fuzz and get her adult hair so some parts are smooth and shiny and some parts are still fuzzy.

She is so cute! We didn't get Rosie until she was 3 years old (she's 4 now) so we never experienced Puppy Kindergarten with her, but we're thinking of enrolling her in a remedial/1st grade class to brush up her skills. That'll be an adventure. We're poking fun at her and telling her she'll be the oldest one in the class, so hopefully she won't be made fun of. Haha.

Aww, poor Rosie getting made fun of!  LOL!  I shouldn't talk.  Sierra's nicknames are Blockhead and Dozer - short for Bulldozer!  She thinks that just because she's got a big head she can plow through anything - screens, glass, doors.  She's cute but I don't think she's the sharpest tool in the shed...LOL!
