Young Female Neo in Need!
« on: June 23, 2007, 12:22:25 am »
Hi everyone,
In the *very* near future (we're talking days) I am probably going to be taking in a 1-2 year old blue female Neo to foster.  She has been severely neglected (I can give you more details via email).  She has no issues with other animals (there are cats and 2 other dogs in her current foster home - 1 of the other dogs is having an issue with her, which is why she may be coming here).  Her name is Sofia.  I am located in Philadelphia, PA - She is located currently in York, PA.  If ANYONE is interested please let me know, I can put you in touch with my friend who is her rescuer.  I'd rather have her go to her "forever" home than be bumped from place to place.

I'm hoping to get some photos from her rescuer today or tomorrow.  The long and short of the situation with her is this.  She was seized with a rotty from a basement where they were both kept, surviving only on their own...feces. The rotty collapsed and died of starvation on the way into the clinic.  Sofia underwent surgery for Cherry Eye and spent some time recovering.  She needs to put on some weight, she obviously needs quite a bit of TLC (she's yeasty, her gums bleed whenever she chews *anything*), but she is a young girl who deserves 100% better than she had.

Here are some photos of Sofia...She needs to put on about 40 lbs and you can see she is still recovering from her cherry eye surgery..

She is so pretty.  I can't believe that someone would treat her and her companion Rottie that way.  People really suck sometimes.  I hope you find her the absolute perfect home.

Oh my what a sad situation!  She's gorgeous, but sooo skinny, poor girl!  I hope you can find her a wonderful forever home.

awwww just look at that face. How could anyone treat her like that. That is just horrible about the rotti. What is wrong with people.

awww. I have been fascinated with Neo's for a while- but now just isnt the right time. She is beautiful. She will probably be the best dog ever, all she needs now is good food and lots of love. Once she learns how wonderful it is to be loved, she will be ok. These abused pups seem to just become miracle dogs when someone is loving on them. Good luck with her- and keep us posted... oh and give her a hug and some smoochies from me.

Mind if I cross-post this to another dog board of mine to see if anyone is interested in her? I'd like her to find a good home too.
