Hello Everyone,
My deepest, most heart-felt grattitude to all of you for the warm welcome. It's so awesome to "see" so many people with the kind of heart and respect that BPOers have for theirs and others dogs.
Now for a little background:

Duke is a 3.5 year-old (fair guestimate), 95lb, American Bulldog X, rescued from NAMC (the local animal shelter). We brought him home almost 2 years ago. Duke is a true character:
- Extremely people/child friendly (but not other amimal safe, but we've been working hard to correct that and milestone improvements have been made).
Loves his toys.
Very intelligent (though seemingly lacking in the "common sense" dept. - never before have I seen a dog try to walk and scratch with hind legs at the same time).
Turns his back and pretends not to hear when his feelings are hurt.
The list goes on and on.

"Pet" peeves:
Unleashed dogs (escape artists forgiven).
Duke is fearful of other dogs and even takes great pains to sniff the full-size dog statues at Care-a-lot on the few occasions that he gets to go there. Because of the combination of disrespectful owners and fear, Duke now wears a soft muzzle on his walks. The sad part is that he looks more intimidating and folks in this neighborhood quickly assume that he's aggressive.
Regarding the request for pics....unfort
unately, Duke is not a camera bug, but I will post them as I can get them. Meanwhile, hope you enjoy this additional pic (attached - I hope).
