Yukon has improved
« on: September 14, 2007, 08:03:12 pm »
I don't know why, but the last 3 days, he's barely limped if at all. I am still watching the way he moves his leg/foot and I can see a difference in the two, but if you weren't to know he had a problem, the average person wouldn't be able to see it. He just keeps confusing me! He and Yiska have been playing outside together, wrestling in the dirt and getting FILTHY and coming in with great big huge smiles on their faces. I think if anything the excercising will help him, I can't imagine all that inactivity is good for anyone/anything. But I do know they are both much happier, and seem to have better appetites too.

We are still taking him to the specialist tomorrow to make sure they can't find anything wrong. Maybe it is Pano like I was talking about, maybe we'll never know. We'll see.

Good for Yukon. I am in the human orthopedic business and the rule is, movement is healing. So unless he had broken something or had a bone chip, maybe this is what he needed. Possibly all of the exercising has gotten the blood flow into that area and now what ever it is, it is healing. Or it is Pano... either way, glad to hear that he is doing better.

I'm glad to hear that Yukon is doing better.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he gets diagnosed with either a sprain or pano.  That way no surgery and you have a cause for the limp.

Oh I'm glad to hear he's feeling better. Give us some news when you get back from the specialist.

Haha, yes it does always work that way, haha. He is still doing well, just holding it up on occasion but walking really well. I'll update when we get back later. Hope he does well on the car trip, it's an hour one way and he's never been in the car that long. Hubby rigged a cargo net up across the back of my SUV to keep him in the back, should work pretty well to keep him from trying to play lap dog and fly over the seats. Hopefully he won't puke and we're good. :P
