OMG    Grace is looking very well, it looks like she is just blooming in such a caring nurturing environment!  The puppy is too cute as well! Your neighbors dog Kolden is beautifull!  How old is she, and will she get any bigger?  I've never seen a dog like that, she's just gorgeous.  It looks like everyone had alot of fun!

Laika is Samoyed in USA. They only come in white here though (I am pretty sure  :-\)

No, here samoyeds are seperate breed, I have seen only white samoyeds.

The difference is that samoyeds in practice have not much of hunting instinctc, they are more sledge dogs, herding dogs, friendly and more interested in people. Laikas are typical hunting dogs, quite indipendent. Here they are on high demand among real hunters here, they can even take a bear.

I talked to the lady with 5 Samoyed at the dog show and she told me that they came from Laikas...I have no idea  :-\

I want to come to your house to play -- and take Grace home with me.  :) Gorgeous!

I know nothing about anything, but the Laika's face reminds me of a Shiba Inu.  Really cute.

IF I will have time I will translate some about breed history of Laikas... this weekend, but I do not promise 100 pct - soo many jobs now, you can imagine - to keep happy 6 dogs now, and Grace is so messed up so she needs a lot of attention and work now. And jobwise too I will be quite busy tomorrow too.

We went to vet today - she is only 31 kg - at 9 month - even vet was a bit shocked about her condition. But positive things - she liked at vets office, because we had done nothing - only weighted her, and then vet checked her heart out, and she tok it as a treat.
We took Barry with us as we already know that barry likes there and is very cool boy, so it made Grace more relaxed.

We weighted barry first (BTW, he is 47 kg) and then Grace, so she knew that it is nothing.... just another place to get hugged... Step by step to show her that world is nice actually, full of food and love!

Wow! Really gorgeous dogs all of them. They looked like they were having so much fun. I'm glad that you have Grace and that she is learning what it is to be cared for and loved.

Grace looks so happy!  I love the big sweet smile on her face.  You're obviously doing a wonderful job teaching her what love is all about! ;D
