My 4 month old boxer has been having some problems this week. It started suddenly last Monday and we initially thought his front right leg was broken. I took him into the vet after hours on Monday and brought him home with a compression wrap and NSAIDs. She thought he had a compression fracture of the ulna. He acted fine on Tuesday morning until the evening. Everytime he moved, he was moaning and whining. He had a fever and was in a lot of pain. Wednesday he was favoring his back left leg. My husband took him back to the vet and now she thinks he has immune mediated polyarthritis. We are still waiting for his bloodwork to come back to determine if this is from a tick bite. He is on Prednisone now and this treatment is awful! Poor little guy is peeing like Austin Powers...every hour if not more. Has anyone gone through this? Thanks in advance for your help!
