Is my 8 month old Dane puppy a shrimp?? PICS ADDED!!!

Hi I adopted 2 black Danes. A 3 year old Male who weighs in at 130 and a female who will turn 8 months tomorrow. She weighs 85 and is rather thin looking. Luna is about 29" at the shoulder (she was wiggly when I measured her). My male has a massive head and her's is small in comparison.

Is Luna a shrimp?

Luna is the absolute sweetest puppy on the planet, always wanting a hug!

Welcome to BPO.  We love pictures, in fact we require them.  Just kidding.  Sounds like you have some big snuggle bugs there.  I have seen registered great danes, here in FL that look like taller versions of a greyhound and then we see the more mastiff type heads.  It is all a matter of breeding and lineage as Stella said.

Danes take about 18 months to fully mature so I would not worry to much about Luna as long as she is active and happy.  I have had Dames in the past and my last femal lived to 12.5 and she was bewtween 120-130 most of her adult life.
