Misterious cat accident (more pic added)
« on: February 27, 2008, 03:06:36 am »
Today I went down to cellar, and my white cat followed me (which is quite unusual as he is not walking outside much)
Picked a jam jar, and spotted that our other cat, Minnie is already sitting in cellar. Then looked again - it is not our Minnie, it is stranger cat.
Asked him what he is doing here and he answered with loud purring. Well, picked jar and cat, and got him inside the house.
Dogs greeted him very happy like he is already their best friend, and cat acted the same way - with loud happy purr.

I put the cat down on the floor - dogs were licking like mad to clean the cat (he was wet and covered in mud), cat was happy purring. Then he jumped on cat shelf (were we are feeding cats, asked fior some food) and then went to husbands lap, and asked for more cuddles.
Nobody has cat like him in 3 km radius, so he has arrived from somewhere far away...

Listen me!

Can I ask a question? Let me whisper!

Can I stay here?

He said yes!

You can see in left down corner Barry's nose - cat is not bothered at all.

I put him on our local lost/search page, but I do not have a big hope, that somebody will claim him. He is not lost just today, and we are living in very rural area.

Well, here you can see what I mean with "dogs love him and he loves dogs".

Here Barry is garding cat's bowl and pushing cat to eat.

Would you ever believe that this cat has just entered our house few hours ago?

Awwww, look at that pretty face!  It sounds like he has a wonderful purrrrsonality (sorry, couldn't resist  :D  ;)) to be so sweet & affectionate already.  BTW, I wonder if your white kitty knew that this sweetie was in your cellar and that's why he followed you when you say that it's unusual for him to do so.  Just a thought.....  Anyway, please give that sweet, lucky kitty a nice long pet for me, too.

His ears inside does not look good, but he allowed me to clean them, and drops went in, so he will be ok until he will see our vet - tomorrow or probably a day later.

We found a very good forewer home for stork at Bird garden about 40 miles away from here - there is an elderly bird lover, who has many different birds and all facilities for them - he also has different breeds of rabbits, and stork instantly bonded with some pheasants and peacocks, and is doing very well  there. At spring we are planning to go and visit him - so far we are calling, and as the owner reported, stork is doing great, quite friendly, and seems to be at good health.

Yay! I'm so happy Stow likes the name! Those pictures are amazing. He's just meandering around all those giant dogs and they are all so "ho hum" about the whole thing. Sorry I don't know all the puppers by name, but the one of Stow rubbing on the big black faced GSD (beautiful, BTW!) is so so sweet. Incredible that he just showed up and fit right in like that. I've never heard of such a thing! Talk about "meant to be" - sheesh! ;D :D

Is anyone as stunned as me with the pics?  I cannot believe the dogs were so 'chill' about it!  I guess since I have raging lunatic Kana in the house...my perspective that dogs and other animals can actually co-exist is off!

Congrats on your new little formally dressed cutie!  ;)

The boy who is guarding cat's food and rubbing his nose is our alpha Barry - adopted from shelter, by the way. Very serious alpha, he guards our shoppings, our food, and never ever pinched anything. Today he decided that cat needs special love and care, and made his way into our house as nice as possible. Barry adores children, elderly and disabled. He would be ideal terapy dog, and he would love it.
Another dark GSD is Cedrik - he is our clown, high drive ball chaser. he is still a puppy and I suspec that he will be puppy forever - very friendly, hapy hapy puppy who does not takes life serious. (Serious part is for Barry). Cedrik is very good at tracking, and his favorite thing is - throw the ball into pond, pleeease! Then he jums into pond with largest possible splash. Best friend for my lil niece - he has patience to play even doctors with her - she is a doctor, and he is patient.
The lighter GSD is Betty - our gentle mother of all babies, not so social as both others, she hates camera, and any training, but then just goes and does that she is asked to do. I'm not very happy with her temperament and cooperation, but from other side - she has the best recall and other commands, only problem that she does it because we ask, she never enjoys any job. At the same time she is best mother and protector to every child - human, dog or cat. Give her chicken and even they will be well cared and protected.
Saint is our rescue Grace that we picked up in November in very poor condition and she had food agression, fera agression and whatever else. Now you see - she is happy and well socialized angel - pure Saint soul!

All of your animals were blessed by God to have ended up in your home.  They are beautiful.  I cannot get over the new cat just wandering amongst them all, and they are all just calmly lying there.  You are a great mom to all your critters.
