well, peyton is now a lady and not just a puppy. she had her first spot today. we do want to get her fixed. but how long does her heat last. all the things i have read all say 4-27 days. pretty vague. she is 75 lbs. her first heat, good shape and only a year old. one week maybe? other owners have said since it's her first, it will be shorter.

I went through this with Lola.. and it sucks. Lola was in heat 22 days but Bubba still reacted to her until about day 25. We did a completely lockdown. I'd go a full 30 days of no contact with other dogs. Only on leash in the yard..
