Alaskan Malamute in desperate need
« on: March 29, 2008, 10:39:55 pm »
Guys, I keep looking at this guy just crying because I just don't know what to do. He's 1 year old and is in my town's animal shelter. They will euthanize him sometime this week I believe as he's already been there 1 week and they only give 2 weeks. He's gorgeous, looks purebred and was neglected by his previous owners.

I'd even be willing to help transport. I want to even just pull him and take him to a local shelter that is no-kill just an hour away, but I don't have the funds to pay his adoption fee. Can someone help this dog somehow? Please!!! I'm desperate!  :-[ :(

According to this link, the adoptions fee is 92.00 with 80 refunded after neuter.

Beautiful pup! How sad he was chained up...UGH! Just makes me so mad!

Tazz is right on the adoption fee, it's $92 but 80 refund after neuter, which I don't know how much that would cost either in our area. I'm going to call the shelter as soon as it's open and find out if he's possibly been adopted yet or if there's been much interest in him. if not, I'll ask them when his last day is and TRY to go get, then try to get him to a no-kill rescue unless someone else wants him. I just don't know if this will work, but it just makes me cry to think of him being put down.

Tobeysmum, thank you thank you thank you for your generous offer to help with his fee possibly! Any help to getting this guy safe will be appreciated! Thank you thank you!

AWESOME NEWS!!!!! I found a rescue that can take him and if he's not adopted by Thursday morning, I will be pulling him on Friday and taking him to a no-kill rescue on Saturday. I have some friends who have GENEROUSLY agreed to help towards the adoption fee. I'm so excited, this guy has a chance now! A real chance!

he is georgous, tied out...what were they thinking, please let me know, I do work with the mal rescue in NC, but am sure I could get someone together. Also, if there is a Banfield within PetsMart near there, they sometimes offer a discount on spay/neuter for a fostered dog, you just have to prove that it is a foster. Please let me know if I can help in any way even if you still need help with the adoption fee.
