Rescue Idea
« on: August 05, 2005, 12:52:42 pm »
I just had an idea for helping out with our BPO breed rescue dogs.  Since we all know that everytime we take our babies out to Petsmart or Parks we spend most of the time telling people about the breed.  What if we take along with us flyer listing current rescue dog in need of a new home.  I am sure I could pass out 10/20 everytime I take my dogs out.  It would only take a flyer in the hand of the correct home to save a baby.  I am sure that most of the foster home and rescue people don't have time for this.  It would be a simple way we could help. Any other ideas on what we can all do if we cant take in another dog.

Fabulous idea Lisa!  Count us in.  So many times when we are at the park, or just are walking the gang around town we get sooooo many questions about the breed or end up talking about other giant breeds. With this we could hand them a list of dogs that need rescue :)

Great idea!

I already do that for our rescue group. I printed 1/3 page brochures, folded 4 times so they are the isze of a business card, and carry them in the dogs treat bag. Ok its a fanny pack, but us guys don't carry fanny packs, so it's a treat bag. I also carry Kendra's gentle leader, some poop bags, and spare change in there. Oh my god, it's a purse! I'm carring a guy purse!!!

Wlemons,  we will never tell it is a doggy day bag (purse). I like the ideas of it being small and easy to hand out.

Just think of how many flyers we could pass out just to people asking about our dogs.
