7 Month old Newfie needs a family of his own
« on: August 04, 2005, 07:33:35 pm »
I'm looking for a GREAT home for one of my babies. Onyx was born on christmas morning. He has a beautiful curly coat and he is solid black. He loves his squeaky ball, Charm Pops, and ice blocks. He deserves a family of his very own. He is very sweet, loves to be brushed and likes to snuggle.

Onyx's parents were adopted by me on October 04. I was helping out a friend who had found these dogs in serious need of rescue. I was only going to keep them until we found a good home. We did! Me. They were such a mess and scared. I had to get them to trust me before I could get them in a car to go to the vet. Too late. We were blessed with 5 babies.  We lost our only female at 7 weeks, severe heart problem. That caused alot of broken hearts that day. My parents took one, Jake, and are having so much fun. I'm keeping one, Winston, He chose me, and I was keeping 2 babies for a friend. It turns out she can only take one. If I only had these dogs I'd keep him, however, I have a Shepherd, 2 poms, 2 huge mutts (rescued injured), his parents, and assorted cats. He needs his own family.

It has to be the right home, if you can provide this contact me (Lisa)@surefirefarms@hotmail.com

Oh wow that is a lot! And what a surprise to have all of those babies! How are Onyx's parents doing now? You are an angel! Hopefully we can help out here.  Do you have any pictures of Onyx?

a picture would be good, but more important might be where you are located.  if you are in the southwest (ca or a nearby state) i might be able to help.  Le me know if you are still looking.

I emailed her for status... I'll post her response below:

Hi Michael,
Good to hear from you. I actually have someone interested from Washington,
but we'll see if that works out or not. I'm in the Reedley area if there is
anyone interested near by, that would be great. I was so happy to learn of
this website, this is a wonderful resource. We are constantly rescuing
abandoned pets and trying to place them and this will be very helpful. The
Newfies however have stolen my heart. What an incredible breed. Well keep me
posted, I want the best home I can find for Onyx.
                                                           Thanks a bunch,
Lisa
