Snow Face
« on: May 23, 2008, 01:41:00 pm »
Before the weather gets too hot I thought it would be interesting to see a few remnants of winter. Who has the best snow face? I submit my Sophie. Any others?

Great pic!  No snow down here so no great snow face pics from my crew.

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions, the Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off. We apologize for the inconvenience

Lots of snow here in Maine this winter...but all that snow barely stuck to our berners puppy fur...this is all he got:
Kaitlen

Cooper ~ 1 year old Bernese Mountain Dog
Coda (aka ruler of the household) ~ 5 year old, chubby grumpy, male cat
Ava (sister to the ruler) ~ 5 year old petite angel, female cat

We had the opposite problem with the newf pups. We couldn't keep the snow off of them. 1/2 hour play = 45 minutes snowball removal. Each. I love all the pics and they are all adorable with or without snow.

Puck looks a bit rabid. I think overall snow dog has to go to Clifford. I'd like to show you a shot of Chili our Chihuahua in the snow but he won't even walk on grass. Too icky for his delicate feet.

These are from a couple years ago, Chloe is gone now. Most of her snow is between her toes. For just that reason we usually put 'boots' on her but we were taking Christmas card pictures and left them at home. She's wearing them in the second picture, taken on another day. Raemi had been making snow angels, hence the snowy ears. Clifford's pictures are GREAT!! Love ALL the snow pups!

How did Chloe tolerate the snow boots and where did you find them that size? The ice balls that build up in our dogs paws is terrible. It's worse for Syrus for some reason. It gets to the point where he can't walk until I clear them out. I read somewhere to spray Pam cooking spray on and between their toes. It worked great for no ice build up. That's because we never got out into the snow, they were too busy licking the spray off their paws! Butter flavor, yum!
