P.S. The noise in the background is our fan that helps to get All the hair into our neighbors yards! LOL

The question is "Why is she eating it?"

Phoebe will chase her fur balls around the yard just to eat them.  Lily looks pretty fluffy still good luck with the grooming it is very tiring.  I think I got 95% of Phoebes undercoat out finally thanks to a trip to the groomer and many bags of fur at home, she looks so different now, so much thinner.  I wonder about the Pyr's intelligance myself as she walks around the house with a rawhide in her mouth burying it in every corner of the house, covering it with the "dirt" she somehow thinks she is pushing over the bone.  I have to laugh.

Lily - you're such a funny girl! You were just trying to do what your Momma was. Right? I'll bet she had Pyr Fur in her mouth too.  ? ? ?
Let's turn that camera around next time Olesya.  :D Even with the fan ~ that stuff seems to be drawn to the humans. Come on. Fess up.  ;)
(If you have some magical way of keeping it out of your face PLEASE clue me in. :))
Looking just as lovely as ever Lily!

Ha, ha, ha!!  Ok, don't underestimate my sweet Lily, she is one smart cookie!  :-*  She was just needing more fiber in her diet!  LOL!   ;)  ;D  :P

I prefer to brush the dogs outdoors, too.  One spring I was brushing Daisy & Halley outside after my husband had just mowed & trimmed the yard.  He came back outside and EVERYTHING, grass, trees, shrubs (you get the picture) was draped in gold & white dog fur.   :D  ::)  I explained that it was a kindness to wildlife, so they could use the clean, soft doggy fur to line their nests.  He didn't buy it (tee hee), now I try to bag it...well at least, most of the time.   ;)  :-X  ::)

And my pups:

Newfies do it too. Whenever I brush Clifford I have to grab the clumps real quick to put it in the garbage or he will eat them.

as a pyr owner, how much do you think you consume annually?  if it's not in my eyes, it's in my mouth...I don't even want to discuss clothing  ;D

My friends are nature freaks & insist that we leave the hair in the yard for the birds...I dont think they understand quite how much is available for the birds, lol

I think the birds are scared of the large white masses on the ground...

Oh yeah, I have tried that and after looking at my and my neighbors white backyards and lazy birds for a week and I had to down there and pick it all up....the amount is just ridiculous!!!
