switching to Innova from Canidae, need advice
« on: July 06, 2008, 08:23:39 pm »
I am currently feeding Canidae to my 10 mos Newfie and 8yr old Jack Russel. When I saw they changed formulas I got one more bag of the old Candidae and then want to switch to Innova. Which one would be best to feed both dogs. I would prefer to have them on the same food. Do I want the regular one, large dog, large puppy. I am surprised that the Innova Dog food has more calories than even the puppy food and a lot more than the large breed food. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks Holly, we'll probably try the large breed adult. It's the least calories. We're trying to keep Clifford lean as he grows and Annie is a little overweight right now so doesn't need to gain. Even though it is large breed, it still sounds like a good ingredient set for a Jack Russel too.

I currently am feeding Phoebe Canidae ALS would Innova be a good choice for her?  How gradual should I make the switch?  I just got a 40# bag but am not sure if it is the old or the new.  I am so thankful for BPO I would have never checked the ingrediants on my own let alone known what the changes meant good or bad.  Phoebe just turned 1 if Innova is not available what other brands would you recommend?
