I normally don't post on anything regarding politics b/c it really sickens me.  All a bunch of hot air floating around.  Hmmmm......... ..maybe we should make an alternative fuel from that?  ::)  ::)

the election ended exactly as I thought it would.  I do think the media had a huge role in doing this, and wrongly so.  Here in Obama's home state, he was shoved down our throats repeatedly.  He even had his own cable channel!!  :P  :P

I am tentatively waiting to see how he will do as president before making much of an opinion.  I dont' think he has the experience, and will be leaning heavily on Biden for awhile.

However, I will say it makes me nervous b/c if you watch him speak, and how he speaks and his mannerisms.... ......he actually comes across like a door to door salesman.   Very much the smooth talker.  Which makes me think he is saying what he needs to get the popular opinion.  But it remains to be seen whether he will follow thru with everything he has promised.  I do agree it is impossible to cut taxes, yet have all this money to hand out for health care and education.  You can't have them both.

And I won't bore you with my opinion on the war.  I will just say if we pull out quickly it will be bad, it will be very bad.

So I guess I'll just say we'll see........... ..........

SSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOO,  you ladies like make-up????
Guess what I just bought for me to bring me out of my election funk ?   A VIBRATING mascara!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

LOL I read this as a command. "You ladies, like make up already"  ;D

I will still offer my make up kisses, but also have seen that vibrating mascara. I have a hard enough time keeping from poking myself in the eye with regular mascara. And due to eye surgery, I think I'll keep the one good eye I've got for now. ;)

HAHA...guess I should have said "do you like cosmetics, but that sounds so medicinal".
That mascara is actually easier to put on.   The wand doesnt jirate silly, the motor is in the lid and it send micro-pulses through the wand(which does not move at all) to the brush,  which then allows the formula to spread evenly and seperate with no clumps!!  FOR REAL!!
It's called Estee' Lauder Turbo lash ;D

I debated about responding to this post. Change is good but I am very worried about the type of change that we will see. Not sure about the rest of you, but I remember comments from Obama about he wasnt unhappy about 4.00 a gallon gas, he was just dissappointed that it got to that price so quickly, however 5.00 a gallon would be fine by him. Also his thoughts on conservation and if he raises our electrical rates 2-3 times then we would not be so wasteful. His suggestion was to put on another sweater. I am sure that they dont apply extra layers of clothing on thier children at nite so that they will not be cold, no I am thinking he turns the heat up, if our electric rates double, I will not be able to even turn on my heater, I suppose I will invest in extra sweaters.
My husband and I have never made more than 100k a year, so we should be ecstatic that Obama was elected, we are not. Penalize the small businesses that employ people that make less than 100k and they will lay those employees off. My company did just that this week.
Lots of promises were made, there is not enough money to fulfill the promises. Another stimulus check will not offset the other hardships.
Also not sure how many of you are gun owners, I am in Texas, we own guns for many reasons. He is proposing a 200% tax on gun sales and ammo. I think that is discriminating against gun owners. His tax will not penalize the gangs or the illegal gun owners, only those who follow the law.
I will join the NRA this week.
As far as the war, there are no winners, however an immediate pull out is not the answer. I do have close friends in the middle of this war and even they agree, it will have long lasting negative effects on the US, including setting us up for possibly being attacked once again here at home.

If Obama leads by example, and not as a Socialist, then I congrat him, however so far he has not earned my trust.

God Bless America and her citizens in the upcoming future, this economy has been heading in the wrong direction for too many years and it is a bi-partisan problem.

I at one time was a Bush supporter, however he,like so many politicians before him betrayed so many people and made so many promises that he broke.

I wasnt happy with either candidate so I will do the best to survive the next four years and pray that Obama is not the Socialist that his views protrayed on the campaign trail.
