Final Sophie update
« on: January 15, 2009, 06:58:44 am »
Thought I'd share some good news for a change.

Sophie was up and alert and happy to see me this morning. Could barely keep her contained while I let Syrus out first.(Have to get the boy out of the way so he doesn't accidentally knock us over.) She even yowled for her breakfast cookie.

Now the hard part of keeping her quiet and still for a few more weeks. But I'd rather be faced with curbing her enthusiasm than dealing with her poor pitiful prior self.

Thank you all so much for the support during this past week. I hope you all know just how much it has helped, especially with Jack out of town, heck out of the country!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. :-* :-* :-*

Glad to know that Sophie is doing better!!!  We have been thinking about you.  TPLO is major surgery and quite painful.  Often vets do not prepare people for what to expect post op.  The anesthesia, medications and stress can effect behavior for a while.  Please continue to let us know how she is doing.  Cirra sends her love.

What a relief! It's so hard to look at a sweet face that doesn't look right. I'm glad she's better.
