Yes, it actually has a lot of meaning behind it.
I was looking up old west terminology for name ideas and fell in love with it. Kedge is an old cowboy slang for "Brisk, in good health and spirits. ex 'I am feeling pretty kedge today.'"
Then I looked the word up some more and its also a nautical term meaning a small anchor, or to move along by using your small anchor as help.

I'm a big believer in names being important, so there were many weeks that I was going nuts searching and collecting names from everywhere.
