Let's see if I can post this picture of Lady.  She passed away 11 days ago.

What a pretty girl!  She'll be missed!

How are you doing?

I posted the notice last week of Lady's passing but didn't post any pics.  I couldn't look at any pics yet.  But a lady at Walmart called me today about a roll of film that had been there about 3 weeks and would I pick it up soon.  I did and there were pics of Lady on the roll.  I fell apart right there by the photo center; had to leave quickly and was embarassed at myself.  I am still grieving her loss; she was my velcro girl and I miss her.  Here's another pic.

She looks so sweet in that last picture. What happened? I would understand if you can't talk about it right now.

danesinsane:  Lady had bone cancer.  On her last day, she stepped off the back deck and started yelping.  The vet had said to watch for any pain or if a bone breaks...I took her in and she went to "sleep" in my arms looking up into my eyes.  The pic of your dane looks like my previous dane Katie, who also died of cancer at the age of 13 years old.

"Lady may you play in the sunshine forever more."  I am sure in those last seconds she was so happy to be in your arms.  Maybe that last roll of film with her photo was a way for her to let you know she is fine and will see you one day.

That must have been hard!  when you're ready you should make a photo album or a scap book of her.  :)
