My friend Sherman...
« on: August 29, 2005, 11:29:14 pm »
Sherman passed away the first part of July, he was Tulsas' best bud and almost constant companion.
Sherman was a big newf, with a very loving and caring mommy.
We had a lot of fun together.
I would like to post pics of Sherman and Tulsa as a tribute to our dear friend who has passed.

Try to treasure the moments you had but I know it is hard as those moments will be so missed.

Aww Sherman! I am so sad that Randi had to put him down.

For those of you who don't know, Sherman was the first Newf that Michael & I ever encountered. It was at a Blockbuster about 5-6 years ago and he was standing outside with tiny little Randi in her running outfit. He was soooo awesome and huge and she was so little and sweet. She let us pet him and love on him forever. A few years later when we were discussing our future, I mentioned to Michael that I would love to get that big bear-like dog we saw outside of Blockbuster. We did research and before long I got a tiny fur ball for Christmas.  ;D Well, the circle was complete about 2 months after that when were at the dog park with Bear and Randi came running up to us. She was so excited to see a Newf. We told her the story and found out she was our inspiration- I mean who could mistake the tiny lady in a running outfit with curly curly hair.

We owe Bear to Randi and Sherman and sure do hope that her heart heals sooner than later.
Hugs,
Jaime

I love the story about Sherman!  It's amazing the effect dogs have on people....take an ordinary trip to Blockbuster and come back with your life changed!   Sherman was magnificent!
I'm so sorry he's gone!

Wow, and I have been getting addicted to these Newfs and now you have made the addiction worse.  Well, can't get a Newf but am looking forward to spending a little more time with them and learning their mystic.

So, Jaime, in a round-about way, do we all owe Sherman a great big thank you?  Without Sherman, you would not have Bear, and without Bear, would there be a BPO?

Sherman, you were one extra cool, extra beautiful, extra loved pooch!
Ty Sherman!...BPO is your legacy....Just look what you did!!! :)

What an absolute gorgeous Newf!

I agree - we owe Sherman a big ol' thank you!!  If it wasn't for him, there would be no BPO, and no BPO family!

Hugs to Sherman!  Thank you, big guy!  Your generous heart lives on in BPO!!
